| Watched another episode of WWII documentarty...it is hard to watch the carnage of war and makes me gratefull for the many serviemen that fought for our freedom. This episode focused on the fight for the south pacific...Saipan and the Mariana Islands. My grandpa was stationed on Tinian and I wish I could talk to him now about what it was like. PA: 9.07

| Another treadmill run...watched a netflix show called desert runners about 4 "ordinary" athletes trying to complete the grand slam of ultra marathons in 4 rugged deserts around the world. It was inspiring and made me want to keep running.

| Ran from Oma and Opa's house up to Devonshire and then connected with shorline trail past the H rock to the 2 water tanks on the mountain. I then saw a trail from the water tanks that led to the top of the peak where a cell tower had been placed. It was a steep climb and fun run back to the bottom. The view was great and was really fun to be in the mountains!!

| I drove up to Mt Ranier National Park before catching my flight. I parked at Paradise visitor Center and ran up the trail as far as I could in order to see the glaciers on rainier. I then realized I was short on time and ran all the way back to the car. I didn't realize how much elevation I had gained until I ran back to the car. My legs were sore the next day from running downhill. |

| I ran the Mackinaw "Great Turtle Trail Race" half marathon today. The weather was cool and the first half of the run it rained really hard. The course was a lot of fun though and once the rain stopped the temperature was perfect. I ran with a garbage back until mile 10...not planning on it but it kept me "dry".
My hips started hurting at mile 11 but not too badly. I was really glad I ran the race and would like to do it again next year. 8:25pace
